Ampliación Museo de Arte de Tigre

El Museo de Arte de Tigre (MAT) necesitaba ampliar su colección y al mismo tiempo vincular el edificio histórico con un edifico aledaño (actualmente el consejo deliberante de Tigre) para una futura ampliación. Para ello propusimos realizar un edificio-conector que sea además un atractor, un hito urbano, un objeto en si mismo, una escultura en el parque. Teniendo en cuenta que la gente llega hasta el Museo de Arte de Tigre como parte de un paseo, el edificio se propone como un recorrido placentero con vistas al delta. Dicho hito es a la vez novedad- por su aspecto llamativo – y tradición – al conservar el tipo de construcción tigrense de pilotis y madera.

The Tigre Museum of Art (MAT) needed to expand its collection and at the same time link the historic building with a nearby building (currently the deliberative council of Tigre) for future expansion. For this we proposed to make a building-connector that is also an attractor, an urban landmark, an object in itself, a sculpture in the park. Taking into account that people arrive at the Tiger Art Museum as part of a walk, the building is proposed as a pleasant tour with views of the delta. This milestone is at the same time new - for its striking appearance - and tradition - by preserving the type of Tigrense construction of pilotis and wood.
