A fin del 2005, dada la necesidad de crecimiento, la Escuela del Jacarandá llegó a la decisión de separar el Jardín de Infantes en un edificio nuevo.
Se compra el terreno en Noviembre de 2005, el Jardín debe completarse en un año, proyecto y construcción, para tener el tiempo suficiente para gestionar la habilitación por las autoridades correspondientes.
El trabajo en equipo con los directivos de la Escuela, fue fundamental a la hora de resolver en tan poco tiempo el proyecto y su construcción. Esto fue posible gracias a su gran experiencia llevando adelante un edificio educativo, y su gran conocimiento de la problemática a resolver; y la experiencia en conjunto de edificar velozmente, año tras año, ampliaciones en la escuela original.
Hemos trabajado con la idea de hacer un jardín de infantes que se exprese como tal y donde el espacio, la luz y la escala sean los protagonistas en su resolución,
Donde el espacio de las aulas y las salas en general sea generoso para desarrollar holgada y cómodamente todas las actividades,
Dotado de condiciones de alto confort, y construido con estándares de alta seguridad y calidad. Un jardín de infantes alegre y lúdico, pero con una fuerte imagen institucional
Quisimos darle al Jardín una imagen simple, austera pero contundente expresada a través de su resolución constructiva, de su espacialidad, del aprovechamiento de la luz natural, mediante una economía de recursos formales y materiales que sintetizara la idea.
La interpretación del programa nos llevo a la conclusión de que los temas importantes a resolver eran la escala.y la relación aula-patio. Planteamos así aprovechar las circulaciones interiores entre aulas del frente y contrafrente en ambas plantas, como patio interior.
El corte resuelve la presencia constante de la luz y la escala: las altura entre losas es de 3mts, pero los muros que forman las aulas son de 2.20mts, con vidrio en su parte superior. Asi se percibe el aula como una caja contenida dentro de otra de mas tamaño y la luz atraviesa de la calle al patio de fondo
El programa requería salas de 1 a 5 años, SUM grande, SUM chico, oficinas de personal de dirección y docentes, y francas expansiones de las aulas.
El proyecto se arma en tiras de aulas que conforman el patio principal y los patios interiores, 2 plantas de 2 volúmenes entre medianeras, separadas por el gran patio, y unidas entre si mediante 1 conector en PB y un puente en el 1er piso.
Una gran terraza/patio sobre el volumen del frente, sirve de expansión a las aulas de 1er piso.
Las aulas de la caja del frente se organizan a través de un patio interior/circulación cuyos muros forman un sistema de cajas/muebles, contenedores de programa.
El volumen de atrás, tiene aulas en PB y el SUM en 1er piso al que se accede a través del puente.
La unidad aula y todo su equipamiento fueron estudiados formando una unidad. Los contenedores que separan las aulas del patio se utilizan de ambas caras: desde el aula aloja el espacio para el pequeño bañito para los niños, el lavamanos, el guardado de material y el de las maestras, el aparato del aire acondicionado.
Desde el patio/circulación tiene un lugar especialmente diseñado para colgar las mochilitas y abrigos de los niños, Tiene además estanterías y paneles para exponer material de los alumnos.
Cada aula tiene una batería de equipamiento: chapas para pegar, madera para pinchar, tensores para colgar, caños para colgar material mas pesado , estantes aptos para el guardado de canastos de materiales, etc..
El edificio esta acondicionado para funcionar con un alto grado de confort: Esta resuelto con un extremo cuidado y rigor en sus detalles, terminaciones, elección de pisos y materiales, elegidos para brindar la máxima seguridad y calidad, con soluciones recursivas y ocurrentes.
Los vidrios de seguridad se recubrieron con un film vinílico adhesivo diseñado con las flores del Jacarandá para identificarlos.
Los pisos de goma son especiales para niños pequeños, blandos y sin dibujo, y de fácil limpieza.
Las aulas y el SUM están insonorizados consiguiendo crear climas de intimidad en cada recinto.
Cada local tiene aire acondicionado
La calefacción es por piso radiante para evitar artefactos y conseguir calidez en los pisos.
El color fue incorporado en los objetos muebles, en los cortinados, en los paneles de absorción de sonido, en los colores tradicionales de la Escuela, verde y violeta, como el Jacarandá.

At the end of 2005, given the need for growth, the Jacaranda School reached the decision to separate the Kindergarten into a new building.
The land is purchased in November 2005, the Garden must be completed in one year, project and construction, to have enough time to manage the authorization by the corresponding authorities.
The teamwork with the directors of the School, was fundamental at the time of solving in a short time the project and its construction. This was possible thanks to his great experience carrying out an educational building, and his great knowledge of the problem to solve; and the overall experience of building quickly, year after year, extensions to the original school.
We have worked with the idea of making a kindergarten that expresses itself as such and where space, light and scale are the protagonists in its resolution, Where the space of the classrooms and rooms in general is generous to develop comfortably and comfortably all activities,
Equipped with conditions of high comfort, and built with high safety and quality standards. A cheerful and playful kindergarten, but with a strong institutional image
We wanted to give the Garden a simple, austere but forceful image expressed through its constructive resolution, its spatiality, the use of natural light, through an economy of formal and material resources that would synthesize the idea.
The interpretation of the program led us to the conclusion that the important issues to be resolved were the scale and the classroom-patio relationship. We propose to take advantage of the interior circulations between classrooms in the front and the rear of the building on both floors, such as an inner courtyard. The cut resolves the constant presence of light and scale: the height between slabs is 3 meters, but the walls that make up the classrooms are 2.20 meters, with glass on top. So if the classroom is perceived as a box contained inside of another one of more size and the light crosses from the street to the backyard.
The program required rooms from 1 to 5 years, large SUM, small SUM, offices of management staff and teachers, and frank classroom expansions.
The project is built in strips of classrooms that make up the main courtyard and interior courtyards, 2 floors of 2 volumes between medians, separated by the large patio, and joined together by 1 connector in PB and a bridge on the 1st floor A large terrace / patio on the front volume, serves as an expansion to the 1st floor classrooms The classrooms of the front box are organized through an inner courtyard, / circulation whose walls form a system of boxes / furniture, program containers The volume behind, has classrooms in PB and the SUM on 1st floor which is accessed through the bridge.
The classroom unit and all its equipment were studied forming a unit. The containers that separate the classrooms from the patio are used on both sides: from the classroom it houses the space for the small bathroom for the children, the sink, the storage of material and that of the teachers, the air conditioner.
From the patio/circulation has a place specially designed to hang the backpacks and coats of the children, It also has shelves and panels to expose material of the students.
Each classroom has a battery of equipment: sheet metal, wood to puncture, tensioners for hanging, pipes for hanging heavier material, shelves suitable for storing baskets of materials, etc..
The building is conditioned to operate with a high degree of comfort: It is resolved with extreme care and rigor in its details, finishes, choice of floors and materials, chosen to provide maximum safety and quality, with recursive and occurring solutions.
Safety glasses were coated with an adhesive vinyl film designed with Jacaranda flowers to identify them.
The rubber floors are special for young children, soft and without drawing, and easy to clean.
The classrooms and the SUM are soundproofed, creating privacy climates in each room.
Each place has air conditioning.
The heating is by radiant floor to avoid artifacts and get warmth in the floors.
The color was incorporated in the furniture objects, in the curtains, in the sound absorption panels, in the traditional colors of the School, green and violet, such as Jacaranda.
